Coronavirus: the world of sports increasingly worried

Paris (France) (AFP) - The world of sport in uncertainty.Several new cancellations, postponements and other packages as a precaution, caused by the epidemic of new coronavirus, again came to disrupt the sports calendar on Thursday, raising fears for the holding of the next major international meetings.

Early Thursday afternoon, the Italy-England Six Nations Tournament match scheduled for Rome on March 14 has been postponed indefinitely.

The Strade Bianche cycling race, scheduled for Saturday in Siena, was purely and simply canceled after a meeting between the organizers and the local authorities.

This decision also comes after the package in the last two days of several teams, such as Mitchelton, EF, Jumbo, and Groupama-FDJ, wishing to protect their cyclists from possible risks of contamination.
